PHO bring their delectable Vietnamese street food to Exeter!
We are SO excited that Pho will be opening their doors in the old Polpo site this August.
Pho is the healthy Vietnamese street food restaurant group started by Brit husband and wife team Stephen and Juliette Wall. They opened their first little Pho in Clerkenwell in London after quitting their jobs, travelling around the world and being inspired by the incredible street food in Vietnam – primarily the country’s national dish, pho. Pho (the dish is pronounced FUH, the restaurant is pronounced FOH) is the Vietnamese national dish, an aromatic, nutritious and delicious rice noodle soup served with a side plate of fresh herbs to add as you please.
“Our broths take around 12 hours to prepare – this authentic preparation being key to the broths retaining all their goodness and developing their own distinctive tastes and aromas. Pho is brimming with lean meats and fresh ingredients – in fact, it’s the perfect comfort food, hangover cure or pick-me-up. As for the rest of the menu, you’ll find amazing sharing starters, spicy salads, wok-fried noodles, fragrant curries, Vietnamese beers, a fab wine list, fresh juices and cocktails made with our premium spirits – like our signature Phojito or our twist on an espresso martini made with Vietnamese coffee and condensed milk.”
Pho’s menu is also great for those who can’t eat gluten (the majority of it is certified GF by Coeliac UK), dairy, or meat. There are also lots of amazing options for vegans and veggies including decadent curries, crispy spring rolls and more. And, according to them, everything is made fresh in-house every day.
