My week in pictures – summer holiday fun!
We attempted a week of free activities last week, but with the weather against and with three extra house guests it didn’t quite go to plan. We did have a lot of fun though!
On Monday we had a FREE day and paid my brother a visit on the other side of Exeter before he headed back to London. We played some tennis (badly), had a picnic and went for a walk.
My brother has been renting a room from a lady who owns a campsite so there is lots of space for running around!
On Tuesday he took us fossil hunting on Charmouth Beach in Dorset (the only money spent was on parking).
It is a great spot and we found a fair few just washed up on the beach (full blog coming soon)!
My personal favourite was this one..
We also came across this dude..
On Wednesday our friends came to visit from Scotland and it was raining (quelle surprise). The guys at brilliant Unpacked Theatre Festival had given me free tickets to see ‘The Pixie’s Scarf’ at The Phoenix so we headed there in a bid to stay dry! (Full review coming soon).
Dude loved the fancy dress box.
After the show we got to meet the puppets.
The girls got their faces painted at the Phoenix and we stayed for lunch.
On Thursday we had a FREE day at home:
Exploring the orchard beyond the garden.
Hanging out in the treehouse.
Dressing up and playing Queen.
Picking fruit from the trees.
On Friday we had a blow out and went to The Milky Way in Cloverly, it was our last day with our guests and we needed a big distraction to keep them all busy.
We had a lot of fun but with the pottery, archery, lunch and dinner on the way home it definitely wasn’t a cheap day out! I didn’t take any pictures – we had a day off!
It was a busy week and the weekend was mostly spent cooking, watching movies (Moana x 4), mowing the lawn, playing games and chilling – well deserved I think!
What have you been getting up to?
