Taking the Main Stage on Magdalen Road
We ate at STAGE (Finally) and it was worth the wait!
My bestie came to stay the other week, and we managed to bag a table at Stage on Maggie Road for a lunchtime treat.
I’ve been desperate to try it for a while but I’m the Queen of spontaneity & it’s always fully booked (imagine my delight when we bagged the last table!)
Tom and Robbie welcomed us with the most awesome front of house I’ve experienced in a while, talking us through the menu course by course, and the wine flight.
Part of the performance at Stage is a fixed 4 course menu that they don’t divulge until it arrives on the table. As a result I ventured into the realms of offal (I never eat offal) this was duck liver and it was delicious.
The food was flavoursome, the menu interesting, the service on point and the pricing amazed me (see pics).
The wine / drinks flight included the most delicious Crémant de Bourgogne with flavours of Tarte Tatin (it was SO good).
Stage gets a massive thumbs up from us at EE & I can’t wait to get there one evening with the Mister.
